Today is the day! Finally the long awaited time has come, top twelve youth national teams starts their way to win the Championship of Old Continent. On Friday there will be a first game of Tournament Hosts – Marcin Dorna’s team will face Slovakian side.

Before the Polish and Slovakian national teams compete on Lublin’s stadium, the Swedes and English will play in Kielce. The first group clash of White-Reds will be preceded by the  opening ceremony. – It will be a short musical and dance spectacle. We prepared it with the help of our artistic circles – said month ago Przemysław Łukasiak from UDS Art Complex, group which made the biggest contribution to the show.

Later, fans attention will focus on the players of both teams. Poles as the hosts of the tournament didn’t have to go through qualifying. However, it doesn’t mean, that Marcin Dorna’s team was having a rest. Before the start of the tournament, the White-Reds prepared playing friendly matches. Among the others, Poles won with Germans 1: 0, also achieved victories against the Finns, Belarussians or Montenegro. Recently they lost to the Czech Republic and Italy. Both meetings final results were 1: 2. We feel excited about what we have been waiting for. The moment is coming. We are optimally prepared. We worked well in Arłamów and Lublin. The Slovaks had to go through the qualifiers and they did so in an impressive style. Despite they were not favorites of their group, they defeated the favored Dutch side as well as the Turks. 6 wins, draw and one loss gave Pavl Hapal 19 points and the first place in the group. Second Team, the Dutch were 5 points behind Slovakia. – A very good match ahead of us. In my opinion its a clash of two teams that prefer the offensive style of play – said coach of the youth team of Slovakia U21, Pavel Hapal.

The match is set to kick-off at 20:45. The referee of the match will be a Dutch, Serdar Gözübüyük. Stadium in Lublin will fill up to the last chair and we are looking forward to live unforgettable emotions.
