PZPN thanks Wojciech Kobeszko for his dedication and professional cooperation, and wishes him success in his further coaching career.
Radosław Sobolewski was born on 13 December 1976 in Białystok. He also competed successfully in the UEFA Cup with Dyskobolia, eliminating teams such as Hertha BSC and Manchester City.
In January 2005, he joined Wisła Kraków, with whom he won four Polish league titles and provided fans with many exciting moments in European cup competitions. He quickly became one of the team's leaders and, eventually, its captain. Sobolewski ended his playing career at Górnik Zabrze.
As a player, he was a youth international for Poland and made 32 appearances for the senior national team, scoring once in his debut against Estonia on 20 August 2003. He also played at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
Sobolewski began his coaching career at Wisła Kraków, where he served as an assistant and three times as interim head coach, also leading the team as head coach in the 2022/2023 season. In 2019 he coached Wisła Płock, and in 2024 he managed team playing in the second professional division - Odra Opole.
On 11 August 2025, by decision of the PZPN Board, Radosław Sobolewski was appointed head coach of the Poland U-18 national team. He will prepare the squad for the qualifying matches for the 2027 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
