It was not a good day for Polish women's football. Not only did the U-19 team lose, but also the national team was defeated by Scotland 0:2 in the away game of the World Cup qualifiers.

In the first half the hosts were the dominating side, but right before the half-time the Poles could take the lead.  Patrycja Balcerzak took a shot at the rivals' goal but Gemma Fay managed to stop it.

The Scots took the lead in the 53. minute after Lisa Evans' shot. A moment later Aleksandra Sikora could equalise the game and in the 73. minute of the match Balcerzak's shot stopped on the Scottish goal's bar.

The hosts eventually secured their victory in the 82. minute of the match. It was Leanne Crichton who brought about the final defeat of Wojciech Basiuk's team.
