Piotr Zieliński: Over a Hundred Caps Is a Source of Pride
"We played a really good match. These are key points in terms of the group table. The way we moved on the pitch and launched our counter-attacks is something to be pleased about. This is something we must continue to do. It shows we have plenty of quality in the team. For Robert’s goal, I noticed he was between two defenders, I played the pass there and he did the rest", said Piotr Zieliński after Poland’s 3–1 victory over Finland in the World Cup qualifiers.
Before kick-off in Chorzów, Zieliński was honoured by the PZPN with a special shirt to mark his 100th appearance for the national team. And in his 101st match for the white-and-reds, Poland claimed a convincing victory. "Over a hundred caps for the national side is a source of pride. It’s also down to the whole staff and all the coaches I’ve worked with. I don’t want to stop here, and I hope I can reach 150", the Poland midfielder added.
