Marcin Bułka: I was really looking forward to my debut
Marcin Bułka was one of three Polish national team players to make his debut in the friendly match against Latvia. The goalkeeper, who performed excellently in the French league, entered the pitch in the second half. During this time, he managed to demonstrate his skills. After nine matches without conceding a goal in autumn, he added another - this time for the national team.
Bułka continues his streak of clean sheets. He has gone unbeaten in nine straight Ligue 1 matches. He did the same in his debut appearance for the national team. After the break, he replaced Łukasz Skorupski in goal. Despite several dangerous shots by the Latvians, he did not concede even once. The goalkeeper can consider his debut as positive.

It is obvious that the fewer the situations, the less chance of conceding a goal. I'm very happy about the debut. I was looking forward to it. I made it in the presence of my family in the stands, in addition at the PGE Narodowy, so I can celebrate the victory with them. Playing with the coat of arms of Poland on one's chest is always a source of pride and an acknowledgement of hard work. I wanted to prove that I was not called up by mistake. I am happy that I could help to distribute the ball, stated Bułka in front of the cameras of TVP Sport.
The goalkeeper of OGC Nice also admitted that he was not nervous going out onto the pitch for the first time in the national team jersey. He also spoke about supporters. I would very much like us to regain their trust. The support of our fans in the play-offs will be very important. They are our twelfth man, added Bułka, who already has ten clean sheets this season.
