Grzegorz Krychowiak has ended his national team career

Grzegorz Krychowiak announced on social media that he is retiring from the national team. The time has come to say "thank you", wrote the 33-year-old midfielder.

Krychowiak made his national team debut on 14 December 2008 in a game against Serbia. In almost 15 years in the national team, he played 100 matches and scored five goals. He participated in the final tournaments of the 2016 and 2020 European Championships and the 2018 and 2022 World Cups and is a member of the Outstanding National Team Players Member Club.

Playing 100 matches for the Polish national team for the rest of my life will be the greatest honour for me both as a person and as an athlete. Within sport, there is no finer moment than singing the anthem before a national team match at the Stadion Narodowy. However, the time has come to say "thank you". Today I am resigning from the Polish National Team, wrote the Abha Club player on the social media.
