Another award for Lewandowski The captain of the Polish National Team in the UEFA Team of the Year

The year 2020 was the best one in Robert Lewandowski's career. In 2020, the captain of the Polish National Team broke numerous records at the level of Bundesliga, became its top scorer and was also the best scorer of the Champions League (15 goals) and the German Cup. To that he added his triumphs in the Champions League, Bundesliga and the UEFA Super Cup. In December, he was named FIFA's player of the year. "Lewy" was also awarded by UEFA, which named him among the best eleven players of the previous year.


In the 2019/2020 season, Lewandowski achieved everything that a football player can achieve. With Bayern, he was the best in his league, in Europe, scoring goals as if on cue. With 34 goals, he became the Bundesliga's top scorer for the fifth time. He was also a class of his own in the Champions League (15 goals). Moreover, he scored six goals in the German Cup, in which he was also unequalled. It is not surprising that he was showered with awards for the previous year. The most important one was the one granted in December, when FIFA named him the best player in the world. That same month, at the Globe Soccer Awards, he was given the award of for the best player of the year. UEFA also decided to reward the striker of the Polish National Team. He was named among the best eleven players of 2020.

Apart from the Pole, the Team of the Year also included other Bayern  Munich Players - goalkeeper Manuel Neuer as well as defenders Joshua Kimmich and Alphonso Davies. Lewandowski was one of three strikers, together with Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.
