Betclic 1. Liga invests in centralised IT solutions and video analysis

Betclic 1. Liga is implementing an innovative solution that will provide clubs playing in this league with access to a unified tactical camera system, built on its own cloud-based IT ecosystem. This groundbreaking project will, in many ways, transform working methods and enhance the comfort and efficiency of coaches and analysts.
The implementation of the platform is the result of cooperation between Betclic 1. Liga, Polish start-up Players4Players, Swedish tactical camera provider Spiideo, and global leader in networking and cybersecurity solutions Cisco.
The clubs’ sporting departments will be equipped with Spiideo cameras, enabling high-quality match recording and real-time performance analysis. In addition, automated reports generated through artificial intelligence will be produced for every match, covering over one thousand events. These reports will support the swift identification of key moments and the preparation of detailed tactical analyses.
To support the project, a dedicated network infrastructure based on Cisco Meraki solutions will be developed, ensuring the required quality and stability of video transmission, as well as complete remote management of the system. All stadiums will be equipped with a unified Wi-Fi 6E wireless network, providing access to camera footage from the changing rooms, technical areas and stands.
“This is a landmark project for Betclic 1. Liga, perfectly aligned with our ambition to stay at the forefront of innovation and technology. At the same time, we want to define our own path of development, which is why we are delighted that, in partnership with P4P, Spiideo and Cisco, we are creating a solution that will transform the way tactical analysis is conducted across our clubs. This marks another, and perhaps the most significant, milestone in building a unified, technology-driven ecosystem for all clubs,” said Marcin Janicki, President of the 1. Liga and Member of the Management Board of the Polish Football Association.
All teams will use the League Exchange platform, which will enable instant access to match recordings at any time and from any location. The recorded footage, stored in a video library, will become a key analytical resource for the entire league.
“We are proud of the trust placed in us by the Betclic 1. Liga community, while also feeling a great sense of responsibility for the success of this project. In recent years, awareness and understanding of performance analysis have grown significantly in Poland, and we are confident that the tools we are providing to clubs and coaching staff will further support their development in this area,” said Tomasz Maciejski, CEO of Players4Players.
Cisco Meraki solutions will allow network infrastructure across all stadiums to be managed through a single cloud-based control panel. This approach lays the foundation for the development of future projects and services related to broadcast production, data collection and the creation of new in-stadium fan experiences. “We are extremely proud to be part of this innovative project, which is revolutionising tactical analysis within Betclic 1. Liga. Cisco Meraki solutions, with their reliability, performance and cloud-based central management capabilities, provide a stable, secure and user-friendly network infrastructure essential for transmitting high-quality video data. “We believe that our technologies will not only enhance the efficiency of coaches and analysts, but also enrich the overall experience for fans,” said Przemysław Kania, Managing Director of Cisco Poland.
