2027 UEFA Women's Champions League final to be held at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw
Poland has been chosen to host another major European football final! The UEFA Executive Committee has decided to award Warsaw the hosting rights for the 2027 UEFA Women's Champions League final.
“I’m very pleased that UEFA has once again placed its trust in us. During the previous term, the development of women’s football was one of our key priorities. This year, we organised the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship in the Podkarpacie region. Next year, we will host the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup, and we have also submitted a bid to stage the UEFA Women’s EURO 2029. Such events play a huge role in further promoting the women’s game. I would also like to thank the management of PGE Narodowy. The exemplary organisation of previous events there undoubtedly strengthened our chances of being awarded the Women’s Champions League final,” said Cezary Kulesza, President of the PZPN.
The final decision was made during a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee held in Tirana. Alongside the Polish Football Association’s bid, UEFA also received applications from Spain (Camp Nou, Barcelona), Switzerland (St. Jakob-Park, Basel), and Wales (National Stadium of Wales, Cardiff). Ultimately, PGE Narodowy in Warsaw was selected as the host venue. “Hosting the Women’s Champions League final at PGE Narodowy is a great honour for us and an important milestone in the history of Poland’s largest stadium. We are also delighted that this is yet another prestigious project we will deliver in partnership with the Polish Football Association. The popularity of women’s football continues to grow across Europe, and we are proud to be part of this process and to support its development. This event will not only be a great celebration of sport, but also a unique opportunity to showcase the strength and beauty of football in the context of Europe’s premier women’s club competition,” said Adam Soroko, Member of the Management Board of the PGE Narodowy operator.
“The Polish Football Association has earned a great deal of trust from the UEFA. This is extremely important, as every such event strengthens our position and increases our chances of hosting similar tournaments in the future. It’s worth emphasising that this time we have come out ahead of some major contenders, including the legendary Camp Nou. The Women’s Champions League Final will be a fantastic sporting event, but also an important opportunity to promote Poland’s image across Europe and around the world. On that day, the heart of the footballing world will once again beat in Warsaw,” said Łukasz Wachowski, General Secretary of the PZPN.
To date, Poland has staged three decisive matches in European club competitions. In 2015, PGE Narodowy hosted the UEFA Europa League Final, in which Sevilla FC defeated Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. Six years later, in Gdańsk, Villarreal CF beat Manchester United to win the Europa League title. On 14 August 2024, PGE Narodowy in Warsaw was once again the venue for a major European final – the UEFA Super Cup, where Real Madrid overcame Atalanta BC. In 2025, Wrocław hosted the UEFA Conference League final, with Chelsea FC emerging victorious after defeating Real Betis.
