The Champions Support Programme is an element of the Polish Deal for Sport. This includes support for the development of sports infrastructure for the PKO Ekstraklasa and Fortuna 1 Liga football clubs. Between 2022 and 2025, Polish clubs will receive government support of more than PLN 700 million under the programme. The whole project will be coordinated by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.

"I would like to thank Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki for his determination and support, thanks to which we can present the objectives of this absolutely new programme today. My compliments also go to the President of the Polish Football Association, Mr Cezary Kulesza, and all the representatives of football clubs for their professional approach and commitment to the initiative. I believe that proper diagnosis of the needs of the football community along with efficiently developed and implemented solutions will strengthen Ekstraklasa and 1 Liga clubs in the process of training and development of sports infrastructure," said the Minister of Sport and Tourism, Kamil Bortniczuk.

The government programme assumes that, under the Champions Support Programme – Infrastructure, clubs will receive funds amounting to an average of PLN 6 million (Ekstraklasa) and PLN 2 million (1 Liga). And they will be able to use it to develop sports infrastructure. According to the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, further details of the programme will be presented later in the first quarter of 2022 so that Ekstraklasa and 1 Liga clubs can include the additional funds in their budgets from the middle of this year.
