The announcement of Polish Football Association regarding "Black Lives Matter" initiative
The Polish Football Association informs that the players of the Poland national football team have taken a neutral and apolitical stance towards the "Black Lives Matter" initiative before the game against England at Wembley. At the same time, we emphasise that all representatives of Poland stand in solidarity against all manifestations of racism and intolerance. PZPN in its statutory activities and duties has always been guided by openness, respect for the principles of equality, tolerance and equal rights for all people, regardless of their nationality, skin colour, religion or political views.
Before the first whistle of the game against England, the Poland national team pointed to the "UEFA Respect" inscription on the left sleeve of their shirts to express their solidarity with the European federation's campaign against racism, xenophobia and intolerance.
