We are a nation with a great football history. We have had many fantastic players and wonderful successes. Today, everyone wishes for moments of glory to come back. We all feel very connected with the national team. When we came to the federation four years ago, I had to choose the coach, we have introduced general changes concerning the national team, preparations, logistics and media. Everyone has made their contribution so that the players could come to the training camps with pleasure, that it would be something they could look forward to. We have been building the team in respect of the player's sports skills and I have to admit that it is a real pleasure to watch them today. We feel responsible for the national team. We have a really good, interesting team and wonderful fans. We are a nation of football lovers. We will most certainly be seen and heard during the Euro because we identify with our national team. I hope that in such a beautiful and welcoming country like France we will also be able to achieve a football success. We realize that in our entire group we are the lowest in the FIFA ranking and that we are not a favourite. I have experience from several big football events, both those featuring football clubs as well as those featuring national teams, and I know how difficult it is to perform well in them. We know our strong and weak points, but we are also prepared in every respect.

Everyone notices that our national team is an explosive mixture. We have the old guard, experienced players who play for very good clubs, as well as talented youth. We are said to be good attackers and in France we must confirm this. We will certainly try to play in such a way as to please the fans. There are no minimum or maximum goals. We go to play well and advance beyond the group stage. That is our task. As for what will come further, we shall see. We all have our dreams.
