Boniek: We are interested only a victory
Football unites all countries, people, cultures and brings us closer to our Friends from Georgia. It is pleasant to welcome them in Warsaw and repay for their hospitality and cordiality that they showed us in every way during the first November match of the European championship 2016 qualifiers in Tbilisi. Now we will do everything to make our friends feel in Poland as good as possible. We will not, however, help you in one thing, and will try to prevent it. We appreciate your football class and a great character. We know that at the National Stadium in Warsaw you want to achieve as good result as possible, but we are interested only in victory. Because our dream is France. Match with you is one of those that we simply have to win to get closer to promotion to the European Championship.
We know it will not be easy either for you or for us. For sure both teams will do their best. For 90 minutes we will be rivals, but after the match, as we say here in Poland: Football connects us.
On 16 June we will play in a friendly match against Greece in Gdańsk. This test is necessary for both teams. I hope that both on the pitch and in the stands, great emotions will be waiting for you. I wish you all the best!
